A Blast of month has passed
"I have started therefore I will finished" is a phrase from a BBC Quiz but this phrase seems to contradict much of my life's work... ok there has been a break but I'm back to write my rants and whims!
Perhaps too much has happened recently that has pushed me into the mode of swift-running flightless bird, and my head being stuck into a Cathode Ray watching DVDs of American TV shows, yep Dead Like me Series 1 and Series 2, and I like to say I've finished watching Alias 3 but this type of series in a Spaghetti TV Series but unlike the Movies they are not cheap budgets but they just run on several threads and which never seem to end !
So Things that happened 1 2 3!
1. War with my Telephone company that supply the local loop line to my house, they added a Service on to line called "illimite" which costs 40 € a month and you can talk as long as you like on the phone except to a mobile phone of course. Trouble is I used another telephone provider and only spend 15€ a month and half of that is to a mobile phone. In short no much use to me, except that when a phone seller ask if I was interested in the offer and I said just send the information! and had the guy must have been low on his quota as he enabled to my line. Obviously these take a while before they are discovered and not paying the telephone bill nasty letters from the phone company which does not mess around, shoot and think later !
After a recommended letter, and other letters of complaint and a visit to the local agency it was resolved, surprisingly quickly with an apology and a credit to my account. There was a thought of an internet compaign to topple the might incumbent but a quick search I found that most people were also camplaining so a drop in the ocean...
2 War with my ISP and the cost of telephone support, I have now had ADSL for 4 year with Wanadoo and basically have been paying the top euro for my connection which is 512 download and illimited download amount, so I was looking at the new offers and with super download speeds. But if you want to change they want to sign up again for another year and they limit the amount of bytes you can download ! So I change my connection and but without the fidelity option, not realising the limitation of download of 5Gb , blam I blew away the limit in a web (don't ask how !!!) . So no way back except long telephones calls @ 0.35 € / min so I decided to stop the contract with a recommended letter, so churn baby churn your fidelity and customer service calls made me burn... to be continued.
3 War in the company, people being laid off in the Company and a few cuppa tea partners will be missed, the whole problem being the French system make the whole procedures look and decisionless , even so it must be the best system in the world if you are the one to be offered a cigarette and blindfold.
